Goal

Providing quality service efficiently, fairly and friendly.

Objectives

  • Ensuring all applications for physical developments are approved within 9 weeks provided the applications are complete and organised as well as in accordance with all related regulations and guidelines.
  • Ensuring all applications for Certificate of Fitness for Occupancy (CFO) is issued within 14 days provided the application is complete and organised. All technical requirements must be met and the construction must follow the approved plans, in line with the related regulations and guidelines.
  • Ensuring all applications for building/structure additions or renovations is approved within 9 weeks provided the applications are complete and organized and in accordance with all related regulations and guidelines.

 
Charter

  • Ensuring building plans including residential house, business, investments as well as renovation plans, temporary building plans and addition plans are approved within 9 weeks from the date the completed applications and or/final amendments or  additional documents are submitted.
  • Issuing approvals for temporary works, building permits and construction permits within 2 (two) days from the date o application subjected to related documents.
  • Approval for immediate sketch plan will be given within 1 (one) day subjected to conditions stated.
  • Ensuring Building Certificate of Fitness for Occupancy is issued within 14 days from receiving complete applications.

 

Function

  • Processing applications for building plans approval.
  • Conduct site visits.
  • Preparing papers for Technical and Pre-Technical Meetings.
  • Reviewing development control conditions.
  • Reviewing plans, visiting sites and on-the-spot approvals.
  • Reviewing approval conditions based on current needs.
  • Processing temporary and permanent CFO approvals.
  • Doing pre CFO and CFO visits.
  • Processing renovation and construction plans.
  • Control of construction works.
  • Doing visits for confirmation of site work, confirmation of work completion, periodic building visits and visits to investigate current complaints.
  • Processing approvals for urgent renovations/amendments plans after the issuance of CFO.
  • Issuing Completion of Work Certificate for completed renovations.
  • Visiting and reviewing and approvals for applications for water supply.
  • Reviewing old buildings and making repairs
